Paw Paw tunnel trail

Long day to ride from Cumberland to Hancock, with having to "portage" around tunnel. Any info on condition of trail? Will be riding in 2nd 1/2 of May 2021. I realize conditions can change, but is the bypass trail new, or forest roads, etc??

I think “old goat path” is the best description.
