Probably been asked a gazillion times, but....
Looking for a safe secure place to store bike while I visit some attractions, museums etc.

DC is a bike friendly city.

There are bike racks to lock your bike to at many of the individual Smithsonian museum buildings.

My son-in-law who lived in DC until recently offered the suggestion below as well.

”One option is to tip a hotel luggage storage person and ask if he could store the bike in the temporary luggage storage at the hotel - get a claim ticket like a suitcase. I’ve done that before even at hotels that I wasn’t staying at.”

That would be the prefered method as I will have all my bags on the bike.
