The GAP’s McKeesport Loop alternate route to Boston remains torn up from construction along and in the loop trail itself. Rocks, loose gravel and sand is present over most of its distance. You can ride it but it is rough especially for a road bike. The formal GAP route is probably the best choice until the Loop segment is resurfaced.
