Riders beware. Once again today the GAP Trail website reiterated the closures without detours that remain on trail approaching Ohiopyle and the Pinkerton Tunnel from Pittsburgh. I have seen and spoken with several through riders recently that were not aware of these closures nor had any plans to avoid them.

Travelers should monitor the GAP website to avoid the inconveniences these closures present and when they will be cleared.

I used wilderness voyageurs on April 14 for a shuttle from Ohiopyle to Markleton and that worked out really well

Apparently you were able to get thru the reported closure approaching Ohiopyle from Pgh. What did you encounter there and was it an issue getting thru?

Ignore my previous question as I see the closure is beyond Ohiopyle toward Confluence. Glad you found a way around the closures.

Coincidentally, later today, the GAP website reports that the closure in Ohiopyle State Park at GAP milepost 69 has been cleared and is now open to riders.
