See announcement below from Amtrak regarding merging of its Capital Limited and Silver Star routes.

Beginning November 10, 2024, Amtrak will temporarily combine its Capitol Limited (Chicago to Washington D.C.) and Silver Star (Washington D.C. to Miami) routes to create the Floridian. The Floridian (trains 40/41) will operate on a similar schedule, make the current stops, and follow the same tracks used by the Capitol Limited (trains 29/30) among Pittsburgh, Connellsville, Cumberland, Harpers Ferry, and Washington, D.C., preserving the option of return trips for travelers along Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal Towpath. So if you’re seeking to book a trip on the Capitol Limited after November 10, look instead on Amtrak’s website for the Floridian.
