Storms Damage GAP from Meyersdale to Cumberland
Heavy rainfall between May 12 and 14 resulted in ponding water, deep ruts, downed trees, clogged culverts, and multiple washed-out trail surfaces along some sections of the Great Allegheny Passage between Meyersdale and Cumberland. Some trail access points, like the one at Deal, show signs of flooding. Expect slow and bumpy conditions while crews continue to inspect, inventory, and determine the extent of damage. The GAP remains open, but please travel cautiously. Dismount and walk your bike if need be. Click here for updates.

Be careful out there.

Minor rutting at best.
