I think there are a number of good places to stay in Confluence. I want to recommend this location. There are 2 "suites", which are actually apartments with full kitchens, etc. We stayed in one of the single rooms, which were quite nice and easily accessible. The best price of the 6 places we booked along the GAP/C&O this trip.
We arrived late and made some mistakes getting in, but Terri was quite responsive and helped w/o complaining about the time.
-->BTW, Mitch's is definitely the place to get breakfast.

Indeed. Mitch’s is one of my favorite stops for food along the trail along with the GI Dayroom Coffee Shop in Meyersdale.
