Spent the night at Adele's on October 9. To get there, leave the trail at the Smithton Beach parking area and head up the short (but steep) hill to the road. Go left across the bridge (we rode across on the protected sidewalk) cross the railroad tracks as you enter town and take a right on First Street. Adele's is on the right (there's a sign above the door). Around .3 of a mile total.

Christine had a snack and a cold bottle of water waiting for us and filled us in on some of the history of the building. Be sure to ask to see her garden in back; zinnias the size of dinner plates.

Only a couple of blocks to Dale's Place, great service and food, and on the way to Dale's you pass Jack's, a small market that had deli sandwiches and cold soda.

Dan cooked a great breakfast for us in the morning and we were on our way to our next stop.
