A few minutes ago I posted a comment about a tragic rockslide on the GAP Trail near Connelsville that occurred yesterday, Saturday, 10/17/26, killing one and seriously injuring a 2nd bicyclist. Please see that post for details. This evening I found the following information about shuttle service around the trail closure between CONNELSVILLE AND OHIOPYLE. It is important to note this is a completely different situation from the closure near Kennywood which I think is between West Newton and McKeesport.

Paul Wiegman posted the following on the Great Allegheny Passage / C&O Canal Enthusiasts Facebook page:

"The GAP just posted this on their page. "On Sunday, October 18, 2WheelEscapes will provide shuttle service between Ohiopyle (the parking lot next to the former train station at mile marker 72) and Connellsville (Yough River Park at Torrance Avenue, near mile marker 89) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm."
