Does anyone know of some unique swimming holes or just interesting things to see along the way of the C&O canal?

The really interesting things are, in my opinion, towards Washington. Such things as Great Falls and the various Civil War towns along the way such as Harper's Ferry. Also there are a number of Civil War battlefields along the way. Check out the web site for the C & O Canal or google C & O Canal

You can swim, canoeing, tubing and more at one stop on the C&O trail at the Brunswick Campground located on the trail. The best thing I like about this camp is that if you are hiking or circling the trail you can walk in and get a site for your tent and they have a nice worm shower. Enjoy!
