The C&O Canal Trail is temporarily closed due to adverse weather conditions caused by Hurrican Sandy. They expect severe flooding and downed trees over a large area.

Trail and Facility CLOSURES
With the approach of Hurricane Sandy, C&O Canal NHP is closed Monday, October 29th. This includes all park offices and public facilities. All public access points will be closed
