Also the park service web site https://www.nps.gov/choh/planyourvisit/conditions.htm says "Construction on the temporary low water bridge is anticipated to begin the week of August 20 and will be completed by mid-September"

Hope this helps. I'm hitting the trail Sep 8th from the DC end.
