According to this web site (http://bikewashington.org/canal/plan-camping.php) there are 5 campsites available. Remember all free sites on the C&O are first come first serve.

Lock 21 is only 16 miles out of Georgetown. As I recall there is plenty of room to tent at most of the locks. And I believe Swains may have out houses. (port a johns)
