Parking in Cumberland and Williamsport

I've got two days to do a short ride next week. Where are some good places for overnight parking in Cumberland and Williamsport? Or maybe near Great Falls and Williamsport? Is overnight parking at visitors' centers a good idea (or even permissible)?
