Does anyone know if the camping near the C&O at Whites Ferry (a) requires reservations, (b) ever fills up, (c) costs money? Thanks!

Hiker/Biker sites are free! Turtle Run (Mile 34.4) and Marble Quary (Mile 38.2) are on both sides of White's Ferry (Mile 35.5). No reservations as they are free and are first come, first serve. Just pick a spot and put up your tent.

Port-a-John, Water Pump, Picnic Table, and Grill. Bring a couple lights as it is really dark! I've never been to H/B site that filled up but I've only ever gone in summer so I would say you might have the site to yourself as trail traffic drops this time of year.
