Not listed but Sheetz has a "made-to-order" kitchen (you order by touch screen) and a pretty good selection of subs, burgers, breakfast sandwiches, etc. on top of the usual c-store items. Makes for a nice quick and easy stopm
Rivnuts from Homestead. PA on 05/25/2019 08:33 PM:
And Weaver's Restaurant has great pies.
At the Sheetz, there is an unattended hose on the exterior behind the building that makes an impromptu bike wash station if you've spent a long day riding through the mid pits of the C&O Towpath.

Oh man, that’s a great thing to know. Most places won’t leave the hose out. Thanks for sharing that Rivnuts.
Hilltop Inn aka Hancock Budget Motel
Jack from Milwaukee on 10/09/2013 12:01 AM:
This is not listed but a heads up, unless there is absolutely no rooms at any of the other motels/B&B’s in Hancock, or you’re a masochist, do not stay at the Hilltop Inn aka Hancock Budget Motel. This place is a dump. It has degenerated into low income lodging for recipients receiving SSDI, prison transition, and Section 8 Housing. Very scary people living their. You have been warned.

The Triangle Tavern and Grill is located less than 50 feet west from the park-n-ride on Main street. Good food and spirits. A great place to stop, especially if you are coming up canal, and have a libation before continuing into town where all the lodging is located.

Jack from Milwaukee on 10/08/2013 11:49 PM:
There is a nice restaurant in Hancock called the Park-n-Dine, just off the towpath/rail trail less than 100 feet west of the park-n-ride lot on Main Street. Good food and serves breakfast. Sundays they serve a buffet dinner for less than $15 per head. Good salad bar.
Real Deal Burns Down, Damage to C&O Cycle Shop
Swagman from LaGrange, GA on 03/17/2013 12:50 PM:
This place is not listed, but the Real Deal across from the C&O Bicycle Shop in Hancock burned down in late February. Arson is suspected. The Real Deal was a total loss while the C&O Bicycle Shop sustained loss of windows, heat and water damage. It appears that Dennis, proprietor of C&O Bicycle Shop, is repairing the damage and will be open for business in 2013, though it he may be late in doing so. Strongly encourage everyone to stop by, say hello to Dennis and purchase something, any thing, to help him out.

Looks like the bike shop will be reopening on April 8.

He fixed mine as well, in a short time and reasonable cost. I would suggest that bikers patronize this business.
